From the vineyards on the hills of Cirò’s hinterland, a very accurate selection of the best bunches of white Pecorello and Greco bianco. It is an elegant and fragrant white wine, expression of a blend to be discovered.

The name Essenzo derives from the name of the vineyards’ owner, a very kind person. For everybody he is Enzo

TASTING NOTES

White wine bright straw yellow in color. On the nose floral and ripe yellow fruit notes. On the palate strong and complex taste; excellent flavor that enhances the taste-olfactory persistence.

Soil Composition: medium textured with a clay origin, rich in minerals
Vineyards Altitude: 365 m a.s.l.
Climate: Mediterranean with hot and breezy summers. Area subject to high temperature ranges

GRAPE HARVEST

Selection of the grape and manual harvesting in the crates
Time of Harvest: third ten days of September
Hectare Yield: 80 quintals/ha

WINE-MAKING

Soft pressing, cold and static clarification, temperature-controlled fermentation in oak barrels (16-18°C)

AGEING/REFINING

12 months in oak barrels (15 hl) and steel tanks; Refining: 2 months in bottle
