Surrounded by the Mediterranean scrub, the grape variety growing in this vineyard is the Calabrian autochthonous Gaglioppo. A traditional wine, spicy and cool wine that reminds us of fruity taste and sublime aftertaste

ETYMOLOGY

Wine with the Crown. Stefania, the name of our winery founder, derives from the Greek term Stephaneforos meaning “crowned” while its pronunciation is “Etefe”

TASTING NOTES

Red Wine: ruby red in color with light orange reflexes. Notes of spices with scent of fruit like almond and plum. Palate with a perfect balance of the wine's acidity. Full-body wine powerful a pleasantly and long finish

Soil Composition: medium textured with a clay origin, rich in minerals
Vineyards Altitude: 365 m a.s.l.
Climate: Mediterranean with hot and breezy summers. Area subject to high temperature ranges; subjected to water stress in the summer season

GRAPE HARVEST

Selection of the grape and manual harvest in the crates
Time of Harvest: second ten days of October
Hectare Yield: 70 quintals/ha

WINE-MAKING

Long temperature-controlled fermentation (26°C) with wort and skin contact for 7/8 days
